Lesen war für Paul Celan immer auch Erlebnis: Seine vielfältigen Lektüren von Büchern, Zeitschriften und Tagespresse waren ihm ebenso Ausgangspunkt für Gedichte wie persönliche Begegnungen und politische Ereignisse. Als 2003 erstmals eine kommentierte Gesamtausgabe von Celans Gedichten erschien, stand die Erschließung solcher Quellen noch am Anfang. Ausgaben der bedeutendsten Briefwechsel liegen inzwischen vor, die kritischen Werkausgaben sind vollendet, und die Erforschung von Celans Nachlassbibliothek mit seinen Lesespuren, Anstreichungen und Notaten, ist weit vorangeschritten. - Auf dieser Grundlage konnten gegenüber der Ausgabe von 2003 nicht nur knapp 60 Gedichte, darunter Erstdrucke, ergänzt und alle Texte einer sorgfältigen Prüfung unterzogen werden. Der Kommentar ist ebenfalls neu gestaltet und erheblich erweitert, gerade auch durch intensive Recherchen der Herausgeberin im Bereich von Celans Presselektüren. Besonderes Augenmerk gilt dem – im Sinne seiner Poetologie – ›eingeschriebenen Datum‹ eines jeden Gedichts. Mit der neuen Ausgabe wird dem Leser eine Fülle belegbarer Informationen für das Verständnis von Celans Lyrik an die Hand gegeben: Erst dadurch wird dieser immer noch als ›hermetisch‹ betrachtete Autor in der ganzen Konkretheit und Radikalität seiner Realitätserfahrung erkennbar. |
