Summary, etc. Von Dorling Kindersley erscheint ein über 200 Seiten umfassender Ratgeber, der Kindern ab ca. 10 Jahren (mit Computergrundkenntnissen) das Programmieren näherbringen möchte. Nach einer Einführung wird zunächst die Programmiersprache Scratch und anschliessend Python behandelt. Insgesamt werden 7 Projekte beschrieben, allesamt Spiele, durch die man nach und nach schwierigere Programmierinhalte (von einem einfachen Bewegungsspiel bis hin zu einer Zeichenmaschine) erlernen kann. Anschliessend folgen Kapitel über das Computerinnenleben und Weiterführendes. Mit Glossar und Register. Das Buch ist durchweg farbig illustriert und besteht, neben sehr guten Screenshots und Abbildungen, aus zahlreichen Pixelmännchen und -gegenständen (siehe Cover). Die Seiten mögen auf den 1. Blick etwas überladen wirken, lockern aber den Inhalt für Kinder deutlich auf. Zur Programmiersprache Scratch alternativlos. Zu Python neben Titeln wie "Hello world!" oder "Python kinderleicht!".
