The Music of Erich Zann (1921): An unnamed university student in Paris finds affordable lodgings, and befriends another tenant named Erich Zann. In the Vault (1925): An undertaker is trapped in the vault where coffins are stored in winter awaiting burial in the spring, and is mysteriously injured when he escapes. The Very Old Folk (1927): Every year terrible hill people from the countryside of Ancient Rome attack and kidnap people to preform cruel rituals. The Evil Clergyman (1933): An unnamed narrator and his companion explore an attic full of theological and classical books.
